Added on Wed, 20 Mar 2024

Are you craving Nepalese food, especially mo:mo? Not to worry, we have prepared a list of Nepalese restaurants around Melbourne that you would not want to miss.

Momo Central

A night out with your friends on the weekend and have cravings for Nepalese food? Momo Central located at Bourke Street opens till 3 AM to satisfy your cravings. They also have other branches around Melbourne, including Little Collins Street, Glenroy, and Brunswick. They not only open till late, but also offer tasty food. Like other Nepalese restaurants, they do offer mo:mo, chowmein, sekuwa, and many more, but one of the unique foods that they offer is laphing (my mouth is filled with water already thinking about that delicious laphing). For those who love laphing, you already know what I am talking about, but for those who have never heard of it before, this is something you do not want to miss.

Old Durbar Nepalese & Indian Restaurant & Lounge

Located at Brunswick and Flinders Street, Old Durbar Restaurant delivers quality and tasty Nepalese food and the customers are greeted with warm hospitality. The menu at Old Durbar Restaurant has lots of dishes from Nepal as they use special spices and flavours that make the food taste really good. The food and the paintings on the wall make you feel like you are taking a delicious journey through Nepal.

Kathmandu Banquet

Situated in a cozy corner in North Melbourne, this is one of the Nepalese restaurants that offers authentic Nepalese food with a delightful twist. While the Kathmandu Banquet may not be the most popular Nepalese restaurant, trust me the food over there is great. And, if you are looking to host a party for your birthday, for pasni, or any other event, they provide a big space at the restaurant to accommodate your needs.

Baar Pipaal - Restaurant & Bar

Last but not least, this is a new Nepalese restaurant in Glenroy that in my opinion offers the best taste. If you are missing Lassi from Indra Chowk, then remember them, they have Lassi on the menu that will make you feel like you are currently at Indra Chowk, Kathmandu. Along with that, the portion of the food for the price you pay is totally worth it. And if you love live music, then on Fridays & Saturdays, you can enjoy your food in a good mood listening to live Nepalese music.
